International Rescue's Thunderbird 1 is the ultra-sonic craft
which has an undisclosed top speed. Sources close to I-R
suggest a cruising speed of 15,000 miles per hour. Powered by varying conventional and
nuclear fuel-fed drive units, TB1 has specialized armaments, but is essentially used for survey and reconnaissance work. With the ability to
arrive at the danger zone in rapid time, TB1 houses a mobile control unit which helps the pilot to assess situations
prior to the employment of other Thunderbird machines and hardware. |
